Flying Snow (Vector Illustration)

I was familiar with Adobe Illustrator before this project, but upon completion I walked away with some better developed skills. I chose a scene from the movie “Hero”, known for it’s beautiful choreography and use of color. The story is quite complicated, but in my composition the main subject, Flying Snow, is having a solemn moment after having just killed her lover’s mistress, Moon. The director, Zhang Yimou, set this scene in a  forest with golden leaves flying all around and both of the female characters are wearing long, red dresses that flow behind them. 

The music is also beautiful, which I used when animating this drawing for another class.
